To join BookMyChore as a certified Chore Specialist, there is a one-time registration fee of that
helps us ensure you’re fully prepared, equipped, and protected on the job.

In-Person Training Session

Hands-on orientation to prepare you for real jobs, client expectations, safety, and professional conduct.

Background Check Processing

We conduct a professional background screening to maintain safety and trust for both clients and contractors.

Official Branded T-Shirt

You’ll receive a high-quality BookMyChore branded t-shirt to wear on jobs — helping you look professional and build trust with clients.

Basic Starter Materials

For cleaning or household tasks, we provide an initial set of basic supplies to get you started.

Liability Insurance Coverage

You’re protected while working through the platform. Our coverage ensures peace of mind in case of any workplace incident or accidental damage.

Contractor ID & App Access

You’ll get access to your contractor dashboard, profile, and support system, along with a digital ID confirming your registration.

How much is the registration fee?

The one-time fee is $499.00 CAD, payable after your application is approved and before your onboarding begins.

Is this refundable?

The registration fee is non-refundable as it covers real-time costs like your background check and materials. However, once registered, you’ll have lifetime access to the platform and priority job matching.

When do I pay this?

After your application is accepted and you’ve confirmed your availability, our onboarding team will guide you through the secure payment process and schedule your in-person training.

Service Standards & Expectations

You’ll learn how to deliver high-quality household help and cleaning services that meet client expectations every time.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

We’ll guide you through our step-by-step procedures for each type of service — from entering a client’s home, to task execution, and proper exit conduct.

Client Communication Skills

Learn how to professionally interact with clients, manage requests, and ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

Dress Code & Branding

You’ll receive your official BookMyChore t-shirt and learn how to present yourself as a reliable and trusted professional.

Materials Usage & Safety

We’ll demonstrate how to properly use cleaning products and tools, ensuring both safety and effectiveness on the job.

Using the Booking System

Training includes a walk-through of how to receive, accept, and manage bookings through the platform once you’re certified.

Workplace Etiquette & Conflict Resolution

Understand the basics of working in private homes, maintaining privacy, handling concerns, and de-escalating client issues professionally.

When is the training conducted?

Training takes place in-person, over 5 to 7 days, depending on your role. Sessions are held in small groups to ensure personalized support.

Where is the training held?

At designated training centres across the Greater Toronto Area. You will be notified of the closest location to you upon acceptance.

What happens after I complete the training?

Once you’ve successfully completed your in-person training with BookMyChore, you’re officially ready to begin accepting jobs as a Certified Chore Specialist!

Here’s what happens next:

You’ll Receive Your Final Onboarding Package

After training, you’ll be issued:

Your official Chore Specialist certificate
Your contractor badge/ID
Your BookMyChore starter kit
Instructions for accessing your contractor App

You’ll Get Access to the Booking System

You’ll receive login credentials to the BookMyChore Contractor App, where you can:

View and accept available jobs
Manage your schedule
Set your service area preferences
Track completed jobs and earnings

You Choose Where and When You Work

You’re in control. You can:

Set your availability (days/hours)
Choose the areas you want to work in (within the GTA)
Accept only the jobs that suit your preferences

Our Support Team Stays With You

Even after training, you’re not on your own:

Our Contractor Support Team is available via phone, email, or chat
You’ll have access to ongoing updates, resources, and advanced service opportunities
We also offer refresher training and performance bonuses for top-rated specialists

You Start Getting Paid

As soon as you complete your first job, your payment is recorded in our system and issued on a weekly basis via direct deposit. There are no delays or hidden fees.
